to start with

To determine the combination for the PO Box door you can simply view the cogs from the top back of the door the small notches should be in the top viewing slot and the half moons should be towards the bottom. the half moon shapes are the slots that allow for the door release to move and open the door these should be towards the bottom viewing slot. to the top and opposite side of the half moon shapes are small notches in the outer surface of the cog. when these smaller notches are aligns with the alignment mark at the top center of the door and the half moon shapes are in position at the bottom it will allow for unlocking of the door.

OK to see the combo

step 1:you must turn to the right (clockwise)the front dial 2 complete turns to clear it then on the next rotation while viewing the top back notches align the bottom cog with the center alignment mark now look at the front to see which letter you are on.

step 2: turn the front knob to the left ( counter clockwise) one complete turn and just after completion of this turn look to align the middle cog with the center mark look at the front letter.

step 3: turn the front knob to the right (clockwise) until the notch is aligned with the center. ( this does not require any complete turns) just straight to the notch and stop look to the front and view the letter.
TO MAKE THINGS EASIER REMOVE THE BACK COG COVER THIS IS ACHIEVED BY REMOVING THE 2 SIMPLE SCREWS HOLING IT DOWN. DO NOT WORRY THESE SCREWS DO NOT HOLD THE COGS IN SO NOTHING WILL COME OFF EXCEPT FORM THE COG COVER.

THE ABOVE PICTURES ARE FOR REFERENCE AS TO PARTS AND ORIENTATION.

SINCE I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY GOOD SITES FOR PO BOX DOORS I WILL BE UPDATING THIS TO ADD BETTER PICS AND VIDEO OF HOW TO CHECK COMBO, CHANGE COMBO, AND TAKE THESE THINGS DOWN TO SMALL PARTS CLEAN AND REBUILD THEM.
